Nature house in Ranua

This nature house is a large, comfortable log cabin, located in an old forest and almost completely equipped with all conveniences. The house can be reached in both summer and winter with a normal car. The log cabin is located on Lake Ranua, with shallow, hard beach. Included are rowing boat and canoe, fishing nets, chicken net trap (katiska) and simple fishing rods. It is an ideal base for berry picking and mushroom picking. An Arctic zoo is located 10 kilometers from the house, restaurants and supermarket seven kilometers away. Downstairs there is one double bedroom, living room with large TV, bathroom with toilet, sauna and outdoor terrace. Upstairs four alcoves (bedrooms for two persons and possibly extra mattress, with sloping low roof). In addition, here is the second living room with additional TV. Toys and high chairs are also available, outside is a sandbox.

The house is located in old forest on Lake Ranua, with the village of Ranua on the other side six kilometers away. The Taiga forest is characterized by its pure air. It is a true area of silence, which prevents some city dwellers from falling asleep. The hard lake shore also makes it very suitable for small children. Sunset in summer on the terrace on the lake side is particularly beautiful although, depending on the season, between 7 p.m. and midnight! The hiking trail around the lake starts 80 meters from the cottage, cross-country skiing and motorsled trail 600 meters. Ranua is seven kilometers away and offers stores and restaurants. Skiing (downhill) can be done at 60 kilometers, horseback riding at 15 kilometers. The Ranua Zoo (10 kilometers) offers many opportunities with reindeer, huskies, snowmobiles, ice fishing, nature tours, et cetera. Rovaniemi is 88 kilometers and offers museums, restaurants, events, Santa Claus and downhill skiing in season. The log cabin is as the crow flies 75 kilometers south of the Arctic Circle, which means it doesn't get dark for three months in summer. You also have many hours of sunshine. The temperature of the swimming water is usually between 19 and 23 degrees. During the winter semester, you have a good chance of seeing the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis).
