Nature house in Boer

Days are still open during spring break. Still experience winter in the rugged countryside of frozen Friesland. In an imposing 19th-century farmhouse hidden between Franeker, Leeuwarden and Harlingen, on the route of the Elfstedentocht, a warm and artfully decorated vacation home awaits you. The house has 3 bedrooms, a well-equipped living kitchen with large stove, suitable for 5 persons. On request, 1 or 2 extra persons can come along. There are plenty of games, craft supplies and books. A baby crib, trip-trap chair and high chair available. Wheelchair accessible. Old-fashioned cozy without WiFi, (we do have a TV to stream to) and play records on the pickup, make music (piano), play games or enjoy playing outside in the yard and who knows, skating on the ditch. In any case, skating in the Elfstedenhal in Leeuwarden is always possible. Meanwhile, the house has central heating.

The nature house is located 100 meters from the Riedstervaart, part of the Elfstedentocht where you can skate in winter and swim in summer. From the house you have a great view over the meadows towards the Wadden Sea dyke and a view of a 12th century church. Boer is conveniently located to Leeuwarden, Harlingen, Franeker and Waddendijk / islands. Ideal for making trips from here. Get a breath of fresh air on the Waddendijk, visit the world famous Planetarium in Franeker, shopping, cultural enjoyment, large swimming pool and the Elfstedenhal in Leeuwarden or take the ferry in Harlingen to Vlieland or Terschelling. Near Boer is the church of St. Jacobiparochie, where the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostella begins. Near Pietersbierum are all farms with organic vegetables where seasonal vegetables are for sale. The farm is in an orchard with apples, pears, plums and nut trees.
