Nature house in Carla-Bayle

The nature house, built on one of the hills, is located in Carla-Bayle, a small artists' village in Ariège. It offers complete tranquility. From the large sun terrace you can fully enjoy the magnificent view of the lake, the hills and even the snow-capped peaks of the Pyrenees. There is also a covered terrace. There are four bedrooms. The kitchen is practically equipped. Within walking distance (400 meters) is a lake with a supervised swimming area. Near the swimming water are two petanque courts, a multi-purpose sports field (soccer/basketball), two tennis courts, a beach volleyball court and there are playgrounds for small children and a ping-pong table. A chalet is also open where you can buy drinks and refreshments. A fitness trail (two kilometers) with equipment has been built around the lake. Ariège lends itself to hiking, cycling, mountain sports and has a rich culture and history. Pets are allowed but not in sleeping area.

Nature and environment With an average of 2200 hours of sunshine per year, Midi-Pyrenées is among the sunniest regions in France. Temperatures above 25°C are observed for 60 to 80 days a year. This makes Midi-Pyrenees a great competitor to the Mediterranean coast. The area around the nature house offers ample opportunities for sporting activities both .winter and summer. The ski resort of Ax with 80 kilometers of slopes and 177 snow cannons is about 60 minutes away by car. A nearby cross-country skiing area is La Tour Lafont 20 minutes by car. Three different mountain bike routes pass through the village, varying in distance and difficulty. Five kilometers from the house is an altitude trail, sequoia vertigo, fun for young and old. A half-hour drive away are other beautiful lakes. The area is known for its rich history (Cathar castles). The cozy Toulouse is 65 kilometers away.
