Nature house in Nieuwolda

Far away from all air and horizon pollution, amidst the waving grain lies this wonderful nature house(s). It is a rustic family farm dating from 1896. Where in the 13th century there was a Benedictine monastery now stands this beautiful farm. The house may be over 100 years old, but the facilities are completely contemporary. For sporty guests, there is a playing field with a soccer goal. Relaxing on the terrace is also possible, of course, while the children enjoy themselves in the playground. For indoor relaxation, visit the cozy living room for a game of table tennis, shuffleboard or an old Dutch game. You won't have to miss the gym: fitness equipment is available. The house is centrally heated, there is a well-equipped kitchen with 2 gas stoves and there are seven bedrooms with a total of 20 beds. There are two bathrooms and four toilets, but those who really want to wash themselves spartanly can of course do so at the pump! The first floor is wheelchair accessible. Feel free to bring pets. Linen packages are available for rent. There is an extensive stock of brochure materials on display, or you can use the wireless internet connection available throughout the house. Please note that booking one night or two separate nights over the weekend is not possible, the weekend rate applies.

In the immediate vicinity of Nieuwolda you can enjoy cycling, for example around the Hondshalster Lake or to the Midwolder forest. The port of Termunten (7 km ) is definitely worth a visit and you can also eat delicious fresh fish. The farmstead route takes you past beautiful monumental buildings so typical of the Oldambtsterland. The renowned "Oldambtrit" (7 km ) between Scheemda and Termunten is great to explore by canoe or bike. Other possibilities include the Bell Foundry Museum in Heiligerlee (10 km), the Bird Watch in Nieuw Statenzijl (15 km) and the Rosarium in Winschoten (12 km).
