Nature and surroundings

A lovely house, surrounded by nature.

    Nature, peace & environment: 5 /5

A beautiful house with a view of green trees. Wonderfully cool on hot days. The surroundings are spectacular; the house is nestled among the hills and rocks of Provence. You can go swimming in the gorges, among other places. We were there in June and went on several botanical walks—there were butterflies everywhere you looked.

The house and its location are perfect for a longer stay. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

    Wonderfully peaceful, green, and well-maintained.
A cottage where you’ll feel right at home. The large windows offer a view of the greenery.
The small woods and shrubs provide privacy.

    Nature, peace & environment: 5 /5

Words cannot do justice to describing the surroundings. The Alpes-de-Haute-Provence region is stunning.
Lush, rugged, and charming all at once.
    We had a wonderful time.

Don't expect a Dutch approach. It is French in the sense that it seems like things are not that important. That has its charm. Less: the cottage was not really clean and especially the plumbing could use some extra attention. That explains the 7. Plus: there are books (including Dutch) and many movie DVDs. And there is a folder with several hiking trails and tips for interesting trips in the immediate vicinity. Striking during the walks seeing lots of butterflies. And occasionally vultures. Above on the ceiling and under the pans house acorn mice that are particularly active at night. A normal phenomenon in this region, absolutely not life-threatening but you better be aware of them. The cottage is located in a village with about 100 inhabitants and at a reasonable distance from other places, so there is peace and quiet. And nature!

    Nature, peace & environment: 5 /5

    A fine time spent.
