A private front door and private balcony provide extra privacy. In bad weather, you make use of a private seating area under the barn's heated canopy. In nice weather, head outside and find a spot on one of the terraces. Outside is a fire pit. Wood is available for a small fee. On the private property there is a large trampoline and plenty of room for sports and games. In addition, 500 meters away is a municipal playground with a kick field.

The place Nordhorn borders Twente with the picturesque places like Ootmarsum, Denekamp and Oldenzaal. The previous owner has made a veritable arboretum of the property. There are more than 100 different trees and shrubs on over 3.5 acres of forest, orchard and grass. More than 20 different apple trees give you tasty apples in the fall. Deer feast on the young leaves. Hares play and run around. Birds are also present in great numbers and variety. The peacocks and chickens eat almost out of hand and walk around you all day and greet you on the balcony in the morning. Your accommodation is on the outskirts of town. Nordhorn is a lively town, both in summer and winter. Waterfront terraces, cozy shopping streets and fantastic bike paths. Bring your bike or rent one from the bike shop. The city offers many opportunities for water recreation: pedal boats, canoeing and a boat tour. The supermarket is one kilometer from the nature house.
