On a beautiful mountain road with enormous views you climb steadily to the farm with its two nature houses (the last 300 meters without asphalt). The residents of this farm can tell you everything about this (and further) environment. Do you want to know what silence sounds like? Do you feel like taking an hour-long walk without meeting a human being? Or what vegetables, mushrooms from the land taste like? Then be a guest at this small-scale organic farm in the heart of the Parc National des Cevennes. The farm's thirty-acre property is sandwiched between two wildly flowing streams where a flock of sheep and ponies graze. Here are the two nature houses: these are old renovated sheep barns and have a space of about 60 m². They are completely self-sufficient nature houses with their own entrance and private terrace, they are located a little distance from each other.
Nature and surroundings
This nature house offers an ideal base for exploring the region. Just from the front door into the mountains, or: Canoeing in the Gorge du Tarn, skiing on the Mont Lozere, or cycling and hiking in one of the last untouched nature reserves in this part of Europe. Of course, you can also choose to walk the route as R.L. Stevenson did before you (GR 70) in 1878; in the company of a donkey. The plateaus of the Cevennes reminded him strongly of Scotland and he was very fascinated by the religious war that had raged in the area in the early 18th century, during the time of Louis the fourteenth.There are several organizations or private individuals in the area where you can reserve a donkey. Of course, the landlords can also organize it for you with their fellow farmers.
