Nature house in Wenum Wiesel

The nature house was a cow barn on a farm that has existed for over 100 years and once covered much of Wiesel. The barn was recently renovated, slightly enhancing the already somewhat chapel-like appearance. The dome was replaced with a glass cupola. The nature house exudes an exceptional tranquility, even inside. This may be due to the crystal and stained glass windows and doors. The nature house is located in the middle of a meadow, 100 meters from the main farm. The cottage offers two sleeping places in the hayloft, reached by a ladder. In addition, there are twice two sleeping places on the sofa beds in the living room and there is a single bedroom. The cottage is also available for two people under house code 28375, also in Wenum Wiesel. Because the cottage is a former cowshed, it is not connected to the sewer, but to a sink. Hence the request to dispose of toilet paper in the bucket as much as possible. The grounds are fully fenced, dogs can roam freely and safely around the cottage on a quarter of an acre.

The nature house is in a beautiful location just north of Apeldoorn, next to the park of Palace Het Loo (10 minutes walk), the Crown Estates (idem) and the Gelders Landscape (idem), in a very gently sloping, semi-wooded farm landscape. Because it is in the eastern lee of the Veluwe massif, it is rarely windy and always less than elsewhere. It is often exceptionally quiet and you can only hear a huge variety of birds. Interesting walks or (off-road) bicycle tours, directly from the nature house, can vary from five minutes to many hours, through meadows, vast forests, along streams and other water features, over sand and gravel paths and on small asphalt roads. Still: nearest bus stop 10 minutes walk, good restaurants/lunchroom 2 to 15 minutes walk, shopping plaza 10 minutes bike ride, Apeldoorn center/train station 20 minutes bike ride.
