Nature house in Idsegahuizum (Makkum)

This nature house was recently built according to the modern style. You enter into a generous open space with a beautiful view of the water. The open kitchen is equipped with oven with induction hob, fridge, coffee maker and kitchen inventory. Also on the ground floor is a bedroom, separate toilet and bathroom. The stairs in the open kitchen take you upstairs, where there are two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have the necessary closet space. The house has central heating, WiFi and TV. Pets are not allowed and smoking is not allowed in the house. In the farm shop which is also located in the yard, the hosts offer homemade farm products and other organic local products. Boating from the yard is also possible, the use of a fishing boat is included in the total price! Please note: we recommend not to travel with children under 8 years old/ without swimming certificate, because the yard is located directly on the waterway (high quay)!

The child-friendly Makkumer beach is within walking distance and from the IJsselmeer you can sail on the Frisian inland lakes. Nearby you will find beautiful nature reserves and in autumn you can see thousands of wild geese noisily migrating to the meadows nearby, where they spend the winter. For lovers of culture, history and architecture, this area is also to be enjoyed. On the Elfsteden route, beautiful towns like Harlingen, Hindeloopen, Sloten and Workum with Museums and Galleries invite you to enjoy shopping or a cup of coffee. Furthermore, Bolsward, Sneek and Leeuwarden are definitely worth a visit.
