Just outside Winterswijk lies a small-scale vacation park, right next to the Voortwisch golf course, where this nature house is located. The area around Winterswijk is beautiful. There are many hiking and biking trails, a significant portion of which follow old sandy paths. The forests and the famous Achterhoek bocage landscape ensure that you can truly unwind here. Just a few kilometers away is Hilgelo, a large recreational lake that’s also great fun for kids. This Finnish-style bungalow is situated in a lovely corner of the bungalow park, right on a sandy path that connects to various hiking and biking trails. There’s a vineyard nearby. The garden is spacious, offering plenty of privacy and cozy seating areas throughout. The nature house is fully equipped and cozily furnished. It features two bedrooms, with two single beds and one double bed. On winter days, after a nice walk, you can snuggle up by the fireplace. The clubhouse at De Voortwisch Golf Club features outdoor seating.
Nature and surroundings
The Achterhoek region is known for its bocage landscape, which is clearly visible in the area around Winterswijk. What makes Winterswijk even more appealing to nature lovers is the abundance of forests and endless sandy paths perfect for walking or biking. Because the so-called Scholten farmers managed the landscape and preserved it in its current state, much of its beauty has been preserved. Right next to the bungalow (just walk up the sandy path behind the bungalow and you’re there) runs the Scholtenpad, a beautiful long-distance hiking trail of about 100 kilometers. This nature house is located directly on the De Voortwisch golf course. If you’re a golf enthusiast, you can walk right from the bungalow onto the course. Even if you’re not, the view—especially in winter—is a nice bonus.

A charming cottage in a beautiful countryside setting.
Winterswijk is a really nice little town.Fijn huisje in een heel mooi coulissen landschap.
Winterswijk is een heel leuk plaatsje. This is our second stay at this cozy nature house.
The house is very clean and fully furnished.
It’s located in a quiet spot next to the golf course, which, by the way, you can’t see and doesn’t bother you at all.
The owners are friendly and welcome you personally.
This text is automatically translated. -

The landlord's warm welcome and personal attention are viewed very positively.
De warme welkom van de verhuurder en de persoonlijke aandacht wordt als zeer positief ervaren.
The only thing that bothers me is that when you're trying to sleep, you can hear the lawn mower from the golf course
Het enige wat stoort is als je uitwil slapen je de grasmaaier van de golfbaan hoort
