A very quiet clearing in the middle of the forest (more than 500 meters from the public road) on the estate. Large yard with chickens, fruit trees and lots of wild flowers. Beautiful in all seasons. The vacation home is equipped with all modern conveniences (underfloor heating, air conditioning, dishwasher, induction hob and a pellet stove for coziness) combined with nostalgic look (high ceiling, beautiful oak beams). Double doors to terrace and large private garden (250 m2) with lots of privacy and fence of about one meter high. Dogs welcome. Fast internet with own Wifi point and UTP connection. One bedroom with double bed and bathroom (toilet and spacious shower) on the ground floor and a "servants' room" with two single beds upstairs. Many books and board games. Table tennis table, shuffleboard and hammock. Free bicycles available. Two new elctric bikes available for rent.
Nature and surroundings
A beautiful location between Vorden and Ruurlo. Varied scenery with wooded estates and beautiful farms. The castles 't Medler, the Wiersse nearby; still within walking distance Castle Vorden, Museum More in Castle Ruurlo, the Sacred Sculpture Museum, the Pinetum and climbing forest / pancake house The Heikamp. Three very beautiful hiking trails run along the farm and the Eight Castles Route can be found 350 meters from our yard. In the area plenty of dirt roads where it is wonderful cycling. With the dogs very good free walking on 't Grote Veld (4 km) and at Castle Vorden. The Achterhoek has many friendly villages that are geared to tourists, but where it is not overcrowded. The town of Zutphen (within cycling distance) completes the palette nicely with a downtown full of medieval buildings, a large and varied range of restaurants and stores, beautiful views of the river IJssel. The meandering river Berkel runs from Borculo through Lochem to the IJssel and can be navigated with Berkelzompen.
