Nature house in Vorden

This nature house, a log cabin, is located in the yard of a farm. It is a nature house where you are really outside. You live with the seasons here. All the basic things are there. The farm is located in the Achterhoek, between Vorden and Ruurlo, close to estates such as Medler, De Wiersse and Het Onstein. Your pet is welcome, under the condition that it does not hunt the game that is common here. The log cabin is well insulated and there is electric heating, also for winter. In the cottage there are three single beds. On the beds are comforters. You can bring sheets with you or choose to rent a sheet set. The bathroom (shower and toilet) and kitchen are in the farmhouse opposite the nature house (10 meters). The kitchen is equipped with a ceramic hob, fridge, kettle, kitchen and cooking utensils, crockery and senseo coffee maker. The log cabin is non-smoking. There is a farm store nearby. The nearest restaurant is Wapen van Medler, located one kilometer away. The nearest villages are Vorden (5.5 kilometers) and Ruurlo (4.5 kilometers). Monumental cities/towns are Lochem (10 kilometers) and Zutphen (15 kilometers).

The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful with forests, estates and meadows. From the yard you can walk and cycle in the so-called "coulisse landscape" of the Achterhoek. You live here with the seasons. In spring there are many birds, blossoms and meadows with pink and dandelions. In autumn beautiful autumn colors, especially the American oak, beech and currant. It is possible to see deer, fox and other animals from the yard. At night you can regularly hear owls and with clear weather the stars are clearly visible. In the yard walk peacocks, geese and chickens. Vorden is known for its many castles, the Pieterpad and the Eight Castles Route. There are many opportunities for cyclists, hikers and nature lovers. The Eight Castles Route and the Trekvogelpad (formerly the Gelrepad) run along the farmyard. Within walking distance is the De Wiersse Estate, whose gardens are opened for tours in the spring and summer. Estate De Belten near Vorden has a pinetum with about 1,000 species and varieties of conifers. A walk through the forests of the Forestry Commission takes you to the largest hedge maze in the world. The Klimbos Achterhoek is also located here.
