Nature house in Moddergat

The nature house In the extreme northeast of Friesland / where on one side of the dike time seems solidified / where on the other side nothing is final / Always moving, eternally changing tide / There, at the foot of the dike / at the end of the land and the beginning of the Wadden Sea / there you will find this nature house. The former fisherman's cottage is located at the edge of the historic village of Peasens-Moddergat at the foot of the dike on the Wadden Sea. From this cottage you walk directly up the dike and the beautiful "Peazemerlannen" (reclaimed land and drying mudflats) are at your feet. You rent the advantage which is completely separated from the back part and has its own entrance and garden. From there you look directly at the dike. The cottage has a living room, front room and kitchen and upstairs are two bedrooms, one best suited for two children. "Small but nice" so my guests report " everything is there" and always cozy there.

Enjoying endless vistas with Ameland and Schiermonnikoog at the Einder; living and dwelling with the rhythm of the tide in your backyard; exploring the Wad and wandering over endless dikes; bird watching on the Wad, the corner of the Bant and along the Lauwersmeer; a bike ride around the Lauwersmeer, eating fish at the harbor or in Zoutkamp; shopping in one of the picturesque villages with their rich maritime and cultural history; a seal tour; a day trip to Ameland or Schiermonnikoog, it's all possible from our Nature House. If you get up early, you can see beautiful sunrises from the dike behind your house. The former fisherman's cottage is very suitable for two adults and two children. There is a new and beautiful playground next to the cottage and children can cross the dike, muddle around and find shells without any problems and safely. The owner is an enthusiastic mudflat runner and experienced mudflat guide.
