Nature house in Montcuq

This idyllic nature house is an ideal base for rest and nature lovers. The cottage belongs to an originally medieval farm and is situated at the edge of the forest. You get there via a dead-end country road with the only traffic being the letter carrier and the landlord, who lives nearby. Besides enjoying nature you can also enjoy a small private pool and a covered terrace with barbecue. The cottage has a living room, kitchen, bathroom with shower and a bedroom. In the spacious living and dining room there is a cozy sitting area with a wood stove. The dining area consists of a large wooden table with comfortable chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped. You have a gas stove, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, microwave, oven, coffee maker and a kettle. In the simple bedroom there is a double bed with a size of 160 x 200 centimeters. The pool is not heated and therefore available only from early June to mid-September.

Along the nature house are beautiful hiking trails, where you can walk for hours without meeting anyone. There is no lack of special flora and fauna. In May and June you will find a variety of wild orchids. Should you not encounter the animals yourself, you can find traces of badgers, foxes, deer, wild boars, martens and genets. Large emerald lizards sometimes sunbathe in the grass and small lizards live in the walls near the cottage. There are numerous opportunities for excursions in the region. Nearby is the pretty village of Lauzerte, which offers a beautiful viewpoint. Cahors, the main town of the Lot, is a typical southern town with beautiful architecture. It lies on the Lot River and is the center of the famous Cahors wine region. You can take a boat from there down the river and visit several picturesque villages.
