Nature house in Veelerveen

The nature house is located on a plot of almost 6000 m², surrounded by a wall of trees. At the back of the plot is a large natural pool with two sitting areas at the edge surrounded by new garden borders. The chalet is 10x4 meters and has a living room with an open kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom. The living room has a sliding door to the terrace. The nature house is centrally heated. Pets are allowed in consultation. From the nature house you look at the pond, with some luck you will see deer drinking there. Buzzards are also regularly present. On the grounds there is always a spot in the sun. Nearby are several attractions: forests of Sellingen, fortified town Bourtange, Monastery Museum Ter Apel and many other places that are easily reached by bicycle routes. Sights such as the Groninger Museum, the Blue City (Oldamstermeer), the Veenmuseum, Therme (Bad Nieuweschans) and Zoo Emmen can be reached by car. Nearby are about 30 hiking trails. A golf course, indoor swimming pool and swimming fens are about four kilometers away. In five minutes you are in Germany, where there are also many places to explore. Stores are in Vlagtwedde (four kilometers) and in Winschoten (12 kilometers).

The forest- and creek-rich Westerwolde is a unique part of the Netherlands. It is still quiet here without much tourism. Bike paths and hiking trails go through the beautiful area with nature reserves. There is an extensive network of hiking and cycling trails taking you past beautiful natural areas, forests and lakes, historic buildings and villages. In the area are many protected natural areas and village scenes, such as the hamlet of Smeerling. From the nature house there are many nice things to visit, such as the Veendiep (two kilometers) where you can swim, Jacobs Nursery (two kilometers), the village Asschendorf (nine kilometers), the old settlement town Bourtagne (seven kilometers), thermal spa/sauna/spa resort Bad Nieuweschans (15 kilometers) and Groningen or Assen (60 kilometers). Four kilometers from the nature house is another natural lake, tropical swimming pool and there is the possibility of playing golf, horseback riding, renting bicycles, playing tennis and canoeing. In the nature house are several leaflets (what to do in the area) and walking / cycling maps.
