Nature house in St. Basile / Lamastre

This idyllic ruralhut is set in the northern part of the Ardèche. It is located against a mountain and you are able to go outside through almost every room. The sleeping areas are downstairs and the living room is upstairs. There are large terraces with beautiful views on both sides of the house. You enter the ruralhut through the large cozy eat-in kitchen. The kitchen is in an open connection with the dining and living room via small staircases. In the living room you have comfortable armchairs and a cozy fireplace. There is a staircase from the dining room leading to the ground floor. There are two double bedrooms and a dormitory with five mattresses. The toilet and bathroom with bath and shower are also on this floor, as well as the washing machine. Going around outside you can reach two more double bedrooms with an outdoor shower and a toilet. These can only be used during the hot summer months. There’s a small lake on the terrain (80 meters from the home) in which you can swim when there is enough water. There is also a small vineyard near the house and an enclosed flower garden adjacent to the kitchen. This ruralhut is suitable for groups of up to six people, but also for bigger groups. The houses are far enough apart to not notice anything and they are close enough to meet up with each other. The houses can be rented together if available.

This ruralhut is located in the green northern part of the Ardeche. You will find beautiful chestnut and coniferous trees on one hand, while there’s grassland on the other side. You can make beautiful walks from the cottage. You could for example walk to the medieval castle Maison Seule among other places, where deer, lizards, and buzzards can cross your way. It is also highly recommended to visit the cozy village of Lamastre, where you will find nice terraces, lovely restaurants, and a weekly regional market. There are swimming pools in Lamastre and Desaignes. Additionally you can go horse riding and play tennis in the area. An hour’s drive away in the direction of Le Puy and Velay, lies the Chambon-sur-Lignon golf course.
