Nature house in Noceire, Airole

This nature house has been furnished in a simple way and is suitable for a maximum of 5 people. Inside it has a small living space (living room/kitchen). Outside, there are 4 terraces: an open terrace, a shadowed terrace, a small terrace, where the sun shines onto in the mornings and a terrace covered with vines near the living room with a big dining table.The house lies near the coastal city of Ventigmilia (8km inland, 30 min away from Nice airport) at 90 m altitude and 2,5km away from the somewhat better-known village of Airole. The landlords also live there as much as they can but in the periods where they are not present, they rent out the apartment to let others enjoy the beautiful area as well.The mild climate is fantastic. In fact, the region is protected from the Northern wind by the Alpes. The Mistral and other similar winds do not appear in this valley. The house has 3 bedrooms and is divided into 3 floors. The basement (which the guests rarely use) is a working space, where there are 4 bicycles that can be used.It lies on a nice and authentic property of 1000m2 with terraces surrounded by walls, many kinds of flowers, and different types of fruit trees. The following trees are to be found here: grapes, figs, mandarins, prunes, lemons, peaches, apricots, oranges, apples and pears. These can be picked whenever you desire during the season. In the summer there are plenty of vegetables from the own garden; salad, different types of tomatoes, courgettes etc… The owners make their own (biological) red wine (approx. 250 litres per years), which the guest are offered a few bottles on their arrival. The house is well placed in the sunshine (even in the spring and autumn, the sunshine shines every day), but there are also plenty of shadowed places to find.

The area is a hiking paradise with hiking tours for beginners as well as difficult mountain hiking trips for trained hikers. Hiking maps lie in the house. The landscape is very diversified. Every summit as its own features and special fauna. The cottage is an excellent starting point for trips into the mountain villages. Medieval villages hidden in the flower coasts and the high and rough Alpes. Cities such as Remo, Imperia, Nice, Menton and Monaco are also good to be reached from the house.At 5min walking distance from the house, there is the private river owned by the landlords called “de Roya”, where you can very nicely have a swim. Even in the middle of the summer, the water at the beach from the owners (real sand) is deep enough for swimming. Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea is at approx. 15 to 20 min driving distance. It is a great place for hiking, swimming and enjoying the calmness, nature and culture.
