About this nature house

This restored water mill now serves as a cottage which can accommodate up to eight people. Please note that this only applies to group compositions with at least two young children. On the side of the large south facing terrace the rich in fish Couze river meanders at the end of a beautiful flower garden, overlooking a large meadow. Because there are no neighbors, birds and wildlife feel right at home here. The dammed part of the river overlooks the picturesque bridge: constant rest, enjoy the splashy sounds, as background chirping. On the terrace there is a leafy area between the river and the dammed part, a pleasant location to enjoy food at. The kitchen is fully equipped: electric stove with four basins and oven, large refrigerator with deep freezer compartment, built-in cupboards, sink, and dishwasher. The spacious living room has been impeccably furnished. Wood stove, seats, small desk table, long dining table. There are three window door connections with the terrace. On the lower floor there is also a large bedroom with double bed (160 centimeters), with connection to the bathroom, with bath, two washbasins, and toilet. There is a second toilet at the end of the hallways next to the bedroom. You can also find the washing machine and a drying cabinet there. Upstairs you have two bedrooms with two single beds, one of which also has access to a second bathroom with a shower and toilet. Two beds are located on the spacious overflow. These beds are 80 centimeters wide, suitable for children or teenagers.

Nature and surroundings

It is a quiet region. Balledent is a small village with a café, where delicious pizzas are served and with good wifi accessibility. Chateauponsac, eight kilometers away, has everything you could really need, with large warehouses and a fine bakery. At 12 kilometers you will find Bessines, with its picturesque look with pleasant shops, a nice market, and great café. The area is perfect for hiking, fishing, and cycling. You can also go swimming and hiking at the Lac de Saint-Pardoux roughly 13 kilometers away. Limoges is a pleasant medium-sized city 20 kilometers away. The area  surrounding the beautifully restored covered market halls with walking streets is worth a trip: visit small streets, shop in the colorful morning market, dine in a typical brasserie that supplied from the morning market, visit the Musée de la Porcelaine, or le Jardin de l’Eveché, in a little brocanterie. You won’t get bored here. There are several nice walks you can take from the mill. It is nice for the children that the cottage is located near ‘Lac de Saint-Paroux’.
