Nature house in Le Bugue

This nature house is located near Le Bugue in the Dordogne (Perigord Noir). The attractive nature house has an enclosed private garden with a fully private swimming pool (12 by 6 meters). From the various terraces in the garden you can enjoy the breathtaking view over the valley of the Vezere. The house was completely renovated in 2014, preserving its authentic character. It is well furnished and fully equipped. The cottage is originally a shepherd's house, built in 1750, with thick walls and a heavy beamed ceiling. On the ground floor there is a cozy, well-equipped living kitchen with fireplace/wood stove, a living room, bathroom, toilet and hall. The living kitchen is equipped with a gas stove with oven, a large refrigerator and dishwasher. There is also a large dining table and a fireplace / wood stove. Crockery & cutlery sufficient for eight people. In the living room there is a sitting area with television (with Dutch channels). Also WIFI and ADSL connection. In the bathroom you will find a sink, shower and also a washer and dryer.

Le Buque is located on the Vézère River, a tributary of the Dordogne River. In Le Buque there are several stores, including very large supermarkets (Intermarché, Lidl). On Tuesday there is always a large market, where farmers from the area offer their products. Markets can be found in all towns in the area on different days of the week. In the summer season, the villages in the area have many food markets (marché nocturne) and flea markets (brocantes) in the evening. Many of the buildings in these villages are characterized by the 'Anton Pieck'-like style. Furthermore, in the vicinity there are wonderful cozy restaurants - for lunch and dinner. For sports enthusiasts there are several canoeing possibilities on the Vézère, there are walks possible - the vacation home is located directly on a hiking trail - you can choose between walks of one hour to a full day, you can make bike trips and for golf lovers there are several golf courses in the area, both 9-hole and 18-hole. If you are interested in castles: in the Dordogne region you will find about 1250 of them: Chateau Castelnaud and Chateau Beynac are definitely worth a visit.
