Spending the night in a former haystack? This nature house is situated in the yard next to the owners' farmhouse. A day of cycling or a nice walk? It is all possible in this area. You will have no shortage of facilities. In the room you have a small private kitchen where you can make your own delicious dishes. And to freshen up in the morning you have a shower and toilet (outside). Nearby you can have lunch or dinner in one of the many restaurants.Enjoying the sunshine? On the terrace and in the garden you can chat, read a good book or enjoy the silence and the many birds in the garden. To completely unwind, the landlords now also offer a hot tub that you can optionally rent when you stay with us. You rent the hot tub during your stay for three hours and we provide you with a lovely warm bath! We also provide bathrobes and towels. The hot tub can be placed at your stay.

Laren is a lively village with many amenities, in the center are some catering establishments with cozy terraces. The village is situated in beautiful surroundings with its many estates and castles such as Castle Verwolde, Castle Oolde and the country estate De Binnenhof. Laren is then ideally a base for making beautiful bike rides or walks in the area. The nature house is located on the edge of the Verwolde Estate. On this estate stands the thickest oak tree in the Netherlands. This tree is estimated to be 7.5 meters tall. The tree is officially called "The Thick Tree".When you come to spend the night here, pay a visit to the historic tea dome on the Berkel. This historic little building dates back to the 19th century, when the poet Staring's daughter, Constantia, acquired the land. She had the mansion that stood there demolished and built a tea dome from its remains. She chose a beautiful spot for it: a somewhat higher piece of land on the river Berkel. A foot ferry takes you to this beautiful tea dome, which is within cycling distance of the nature house.
