You rent a separate part (the Gite) of an authentic farmhouse, with a large garden and terrace facing south. The house is tastefully decorated and fully equipped. There are two bedrooms and a large living room with open kitchen, suitable for five people. In addition to a wood stove, the living room has underfloor heating, which is pleasant in spring and autumn. The fully fenced garden is ideal for small children. On sunny days, plane trees provide shade and coolness. The house includes a sunbathing area on the banks of the river Clain. You can swim here and canoe (two canoes available). Anché-Voulon has a train station and can be reached from the Netherlands within seven hours (TGV and regional train).
Nature and surroundings
The Poitou is a lovely, rural region with numerous small rivers meandering through the green landscape. It is quiet and clean and hardly affected by the ravages of time. In the immediate vicinity you can go hiking, biking and horseback riding. Just over one kilometer away is the castle of Villenon with an equestrian center with 20 riding horses and ponies. Under guidance you can make trips through the rolling countryside (for beginners and advanced riders). There is a tennis court in the village and several golf courses in the area. It is a region of castles and Romanesque churches. For children: the monkey zoo in Romagne, Futuroscope in Poitiers and an eagle show in Chauvigny. The city of Poitiers is half an hour away. In the car-free downtown you can do excellent shopping, visit the cozy Saturday market or eat out in a good French restaurant.

m July 30, 2016 General rating:Een heerlijk ruim huis, koel, goede voorzieningen (wasmachine, vaatwasser). Heel sfeervol ingericht, er staan spelletjes, stiften, verf, literatuur (boeken en tijdschriften). Lux vonden wij dat de bedden gedekt waren, en er al wat te drinken in de koelkast stond, dat is fijn aankomen!
Olla is de perfecte gastvrouw, erg prettig in contact.Nature, peace & environment:Heerlijk rustig met alle ruimte, een ruime tuin, je mag gebruik maken van de kruiden die er staan. Naast het huis een pad naar beneden waar je na ongeveer 100 meter uitkomt bij de rivier de Clain. Je kan er heerlijk zwemmen in het frisse water, en opdrogen heerlijk midden in de natuur. Er liggen ook 2 kano's om mee op avontuur te gaan. Even verderop bij de brug van Anché kunnen kinderen ook dammen bouwen in het water, daar is een picknick plaats met speeltoestellen. Pony-rijden kan in de buurt. Mocht je naar een zwembad willen, die in Vivonne is aan te raden, met babybadje en glijbaan.
