This nature house on the Veluwe (renovated in late 2025) is located in a unique forest garden of 1.5 hectares with a wildlife observation screen and 2 bird watching/photography huts. Regular visitors in the garden are badgers, foxes, pine marten, wild boar and many species of (predatory) birds. At the other end of the plot is our larger vacation home, otherwise no neighbors to be seen and you are surrounded by miles of forest and heathland. There is a living room with open kitchen, open connection to bedroom and a bathroom with shower and toilet. In the living room is a lounge sofa from which you look over the large forest garden. Then the kitchen, equipped with stove, refrigerator, microwave, Senseo coffee maker and kettle. The bedroom has a cozy double box bed (1.40 x 2.00) and an extra sink. This "wild" part of our garden may be used by guests of both vacation homes. In addition, you have your own generous piece of private garden next to the house, containing sunbeds and a picnic table. Walking and cycling routes literally start next door. Endless forests and moors surround the cottage and no neighbors to be seen. One kilometer away is the charming Veluwe village of Vierhouten, with many restaurants / catering establishments and a supermarket. In the vicinity are also plenty of cozy Veluwe villages (Nunspeet, Elburg, Epe), several major shopping cities (Apeldoorn, Amersfoort, Zwolle, Harderwijk) and several beautiful saunas (Veluwse Bron, Zwaluwhoeve).

Fantastic location with 2 beautiful bird watching cabins and 1 wildlife screen. The cottage has everything you need. We did not spot any wildlife at the wildlife screen. Also at the bird watching huts few birds spotted. I think they were all busy feeding their young at this time. The Grass Snake grabbing a Green Frog in one of the ponds near a bird hide was our highlight. Of course many walks in the many beautiful nature reserves in the area. All in all we had a super week in this nature house in Vierhouten.
Fantastische locatie met 2 mooie vogelkijkhutten en 1 wildscherm. Het huisje heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. We hebben geen wild gespot bij het wildscherm. Ook bij de vogelkijkhutten weinig vogels gespot. Ze waren denk ik allemaal druk bezig hun jongen aan het voeren in deze periode. De Ringslang die een Groene Kikker in een van de vijvertjes pakte bij een vogelkijkhut was ons hoogtepunt. Uiteraard vele wandelingen gemaakt in de vele mooie natuurgebieden in de omgeving. Al met al een super week gehad in dit Natuurhuisje in Vierhouten.
