Nature house in Vierhouten

The cottage is fully equipped, in fact there was nothing missing. Of course it is all a bit more cramped than at home, like the bathroom and the bed but you know that when you rent such a cottage. We had a great time, even outside on the porch in the winter sunshine, the birds fly in and out when you feed them. Even the marten came in the night to take a look.

Het huisje is van alle gemakken voorzien, er was eigenlijk niets dat ontbrak. Natuurlijk is het allemaal wat krapper dan thuis, zoals de badkamer en het bed maar dat weet je als je zo'n huisje huurt. We hebben er heerlijk gezeten, ook buiten op de veranda was het in het winterzonnetje goed te doen, de vogels vliegen af en aan als je wat voert. Zelfs de marter kwam in de nacht even een kijkje nemen.

Lovely location in the middle of the woods, the adjacent road you sometimes hear but is far from busy (maybe more in summer when the campground is full?). The cottage is easily accessible and you can easily park there. Around the house there is plenty of greenery and it is full of birds, very nice! We really had a few wonderful days, you can walk into the woods and it is also very quiet.

Heerlijke locatie midden in de bossen, de naastgelegen weg hoor je soms maar is verre van druk (misschien in de zomer meer als de camping vol staat?). Het huisje is makkelijk bereikbaar en je kunt er prima parkeren. Rondom het huis is er veel groen en het stikt van de vogels, erg leuk!

We hebben er echt een paar heerlijke dagen gehad, je wandelt zo het bos in en daar is het ook heerlijk rustig.

I give a 10 because everything I was looking for in a nature vacation was there. Cozy, cozy and quiet.

Ik geef een 10 omdat alles wat ik zocht in een natuurvakantie aanwezig was. Gezellig, knus en rustig.

It was blissful not to be on for a while. Being in a forest made me feel at home. From every window you could only see forest and animals. I would like to live there like that.

Het was zalig om even niet aan te staan. Als ik in een bos ben voel ik mij thuis. Uit elk raam zag je enkel bos en dieren. Ik zou er zo willen wonen.

The nature house itself was pretty basic in terms of furnishings. Do not expect luxury. But everything was there and it was clean. The box bed was funny, fun to sleep in once, only it was a bit on the cramped side. The gas heater was really great and heated the whole house very quickly, we found this really super. Finally, we felt that the house could use some redecorating over time. Among other things, new curtains, lick of paint, etc. The photos of the cottage on the site also match in real life.

Het natuurhuisje zelf was qua inrichting vrij basic. Verwacht geen luxe. Maar alles was er op zich wel en het was netjes. De bedstee was grappig, leuk om een keer in te slapen, alleen was het wel wat aan de krappe kant. De gaskachel was echt top en verwarmde de gehele woning erg snel, dit vonden we echt super. Tot slotte vonden wij dat de woning op den duur wel een opknapbeurtje kan gebruiken. O.a. nieuwe vitrage, likje verf, etc. De foto's van het huisje op de site komen in het echt ook overeen.

The nature in the area was perfect. Lots of greenery, in the middle of the forest, with many species of birds at the door, hiking and biking trails start from the forest cottage. Disadvantage was the busy road right behind it. You could hear the cars very well. There were also in the large house next to us a group of people with children, which we could regularly hear, which makes the environment a little less quiet. The cottage itself was small in size, but for 2 people fine.

De natuur in de omgeving was perfect. Veel groen, middenin het bos, met veel soorten vogeltjes voor de deur, wandel en fietspaden beginnen vanuit het boshuisje. Nadeel was wel de drukke weg er gelijk achter. De auto's kon je wel goed horen. Tevens zaten er in het grote vakantiehuis naast ons een groep mensen met kinderen, deze konden we met enige regelmaat ook goed horen, dat maakt de omgeving wel iets minder rustig.
Het boshuisje zelf was klein van opzet, maar voor 2 mensen prima te doen.
