Between Leeuwarden and Dokkum, near the Wadden area, on a mound stand two 17th century mound houses with in each house two separate lodgings. In this nature house "the Telle" the atmosphere from past centuries is still tangible. Here you will find the wooden cockerel beams, estriken tiled floor (with floor heating) and a bed box from the 18th century. On the ground floor is the living room, kitchen and bathroom. In the living room with TV, there is a double sofa bed and a box bed. The kitchen is equipped with an electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, oven, coffee maker and kettle. A small hallway leads to the bathroom. The bathroom has a toilet, shower and a sink. Upstairs is a double bedroom with two single beds. If necessary, a camp bed and/or an air mattress can be added. This cottage is pet-free. Relax completely in the vast Frisian countryside! And that also applies to the cottages with ID numbers: 25150, 24607 and 25534.
Nature and surroundings
Walking and cycling enthusiasts beware! There are plenty of walking and cycling routes available in the area. For example, follow a route along the Wadden Sea or through the Frisian meadows. Within cycling distance of the cottage you will find the Frisian cities of Dokkum and Leeuwarden. A visit to these cities is definitely worthwhile. In addition, a trip to the Wadden Islands of Ameland and Schiermonnikoog is highly recommended. Bicycles (also electric) can be rented and delivered to the vacation home.

Note kitchen is basic. You can cook fine, but only two burners and small oven.
Let op keuken is basic. Je kunt er prima koken, maar slechts twee pitten en kleine oven.
Wonderful place. Really unique location, as if you may stay in the open-air museum, and at the same time enough comforts of today. Administrators are very nice. Jannum church is also very special. Everything small and fine!
Heerlijke plek. Echt unieke locatie, alsof je in het openluchtmuseum mag logeren, en tegelijkertijd voldoende comfort van nu. Beheerders zijn heel fijn. Kerkje van Jannum is ook heel bijzonder. Alles klein én fijn!
