A beautifully renovated old cottage dating back to 1628. Situated on a small mound: Jannum. The view was amazing, and we had plenty of outdoor space. There was even a shed for the bikes, and everything was neat and clean. The house is steeped in history; the kitchenette was located in the old box bed and worked perfectly. The owners were lovely, and there was a bottle of wine waiting on the table upon arrival. The beds are comfortable, and the large attic makes for a cozy place to sleep. Downstairs there’s another box bed for a child (or two). On the mound there are three cottages, the beautiful church that’s always open, and a farm with a B&B. The surroundings are wonderfully peaceful; Dokkum is 5 km away and very charming. The Wadden Sea coast is 10 km away. That’s what we enjoyed most—walking along the dykes, biking to Moddergat, etc. Plenty to do, lovely spot. We’d love to come back.

Op de terp staan 3 huisjes, de prachtige kerk die altijd open is en een boerderij met b en b. De omgeving is heerlijk rustig, Dokkum op 5 km, heel gezellig. De waddenkust is op 10 km. Daar hebben we het meest van genoten, butendyks wandelen, fietsen naar Moddergat enz. Genoeg te doen, fijne plek. Komen graag nog eens.
