The stairs lead to the front door and to a bridge that opens onto a lovely south-facing terrace, offering a stunning view of the surrounding countryside. Thanks to its special mounting structure, the treehouse gently sways in the wind. If you’re an “early bird” yourself, you can sing along and, for that moment, be a “bird of a feather.” This well-insulated treehouse, built from eco-friendly, sustainable wood, has a unique atmosphere. The treehouse is equipped with: a double bed (140 cm), a sofa, and an electric heater (also suitable for winter rentals). The bed is made up, but please bring your own (bath) towels. Our recreation area features a fully equipped shared kitchen with an oven, microwave, induction cooktops, dishwasher, and refrigerator. The restrooms are located in the same building. On the day of arrival, you are welcome from 3:00 PM. Use of the wood-fired sauna is available (€25/hour); please reserve on the day of arrival.
Nature and surroundings
For lovers of culture, history, peace, and open spaces, the home base is centrally located between the Frisian Eleven Cities of Bolsward, Sneek, Leeuwarden, and Franeker. Just a 2-kilometer walk, bike ride, or boat trip away lies the picturesque village of Easterein, where the medieval church and the Frisian (film) café/restaurant are well worth a visit. You’ll quickly be impressed by the beautiful farms, picturesque meadows, and waterways. To enjoy these waterways, canoes are available for rent on-site. Terherne, where the Kameleon children’s books come to life, is easily accessible from this location. A visit to the various Frisian Eleven Cities in the area is well worth it. For example, Franeker has the oldest functioning planetarium in the world, which is open to the public. The port city of Harlingen, where the ferries to Terschelling and Vlieland depart, is full of cozy little fishing cafes. Bolsward, with its beautiful town hall and canals, is also just a stone’s throw away.

Nice to do once. There was a mosquito net by the bed. That was very nice.
Leuk om een keer te doen. Er was een klamboe bij het bed. Dat was heel prettig.
Delightful! Waking up to the singing of the birds.

Small but nice! Bed was not very comfortable and you have to get out to go to the toilet, but we knew that in advance.
Klein maar fijn! Bed lag niet heel erg lekker en je moet er uit om naar het toilet te gaan, maar dat wisten we van tevoren.
Beautifully located and very quiet area!
Mooi gelegen en erg rustige omgeving!
