Nature house in Lettelbert

In the beautiful north of the Netherlands you will find surrounded by meadows and waterways these beautiful, furnished safari tents. The nature houses are fully equipped. Real beds, rustic furniture and a fully equipped kitchen. You also have a private bathroom with hot shower, toilet and sink in the adjacent bathhouse. The safari tents are located near the Leekstermeer lake, the forests of Drenthe and the Frisian water sports area. The city of Groningen is 12 kilometers away. In front of the door you can swim in the natural water of the Lettelberterdiep or start your canoe trip. Feel free to bring your own boat to the nature house, mooring is possible at the jetty. Canoes and bicycles can be rented at our accommodation. In the nearby village of Leek is Nienoord Castle, a beautiful estate with hiking area, a large playground and a beautiful swimming pool with water slides. On the property there is a large vegetable garden, where you can pick fresh herbs and vegetables. The children can feed the chickens and get eggs from the laying pen. In Oostwold and Midwolde you will find good restaurants. You can also prepare your meal in the safari tent and enjoy the sunset with a good glass of wine.

These safari tents are located on the Lettelberterdiep which is in direct connection with the Leekstermeer. You can swim, fish or start a canoe trip from the jetty. On the other side of the Lettelberterdiep is a mountain reservoir; an overflow area in times of flooding. This area is freely accessible to hikers, bird lovers can enjoy themselves here. The nature house is located on the Nienoord route, a beautiful bike ride through the Westerkwartier.
