Located in the village of Préporché, in the beautiful Morvan Nature Park, you’ll find this picturesque French nature house. The house is part of a former bakery, which is now divided into a studio, an old shop, and the nature house. On the ground floor is the living room with an open kitchen and a beautiful old fireplace with a wood stove. From the living room, you can step out into the lovely, sunny garden. Next to the living room on the ground floor is a hallway with a double bedroom on either side. There is a separate shower with a sink and a separate toilet. The cottage has a lovely, secluded southwest-facing garden where you can enjoy the view of the hills in the sun until late in the day. The hosts, who are artists, create a special atmosphere—not one of luxury, but of authenticity and simplicity.
Nature and surroundings
The house is located on a charming, rustic little square and overlooks a small Romanesque church. From the backyard, you have a beautiful view of the fields. You can see the cows in the pasture and, early in the morning, a few deer. Hiking enthusiasts, take note! Guided hikes through the Morvan start at the church. It’s beautiful there in every season. In the woods, you’ll see wild orchids, hyacinths, columbines, and wild cherry blossoms. And in the fall, the trees take on stunning colors. Wine lovers will also be in their element here. About an hour’s drive away is Beaune, where you can sample delicious wines.

Echt in Franse stijl

<span>Ik heb een rustige en probleemloze week gehad in dit vakantiehuis. De sfeer van het Franse verleden is in het huis nog te beleven (dat kan ook nadeel zijn, het is wat afhankelijk van smaak, dit huis is waarschijnlijk niet voor wie houdt van strak-modern en hyperluxe). In het huis was het, ook in de wat koud uitgevallen oktoberweek waarin ik er zat, goed toeven dankzij de gezellige houtkachel. De verhuurders zijn aardig, kennen de omgeving goed en kunnen vakantiegangers dus meer tips geven over wat er in de omgeving zoal te doen is. </span>
</p><span style="font-family:Helvetica;">De omgeving rond het huis is rustig, fraai en voorzien van vele wandelpaden. Over de heuvels kan ook goed gefietst worden (voor de atb-ers zijn bovendien verschillende routes uitgezet). Autun, een erg fraai </span><span style="font-family:Helvetica;">stadje in de buurt, is een aanrader. Bibracte schijnt ook interessant te zijn, maar daar ben ik niet aan toe gekomen.</span><br />

De inrichting is op zich sfeervol, maar voor ons was het huisje niet comfortabel genoeg. De meubels waren oud en versleten; we konden nergens lekker zitten of liggen. De verhuurder wilde ons wel helpen, maar na twee nachten hebben we het opgegeven.

Tijdens ons verblijf waren er ook bovenburen op de zolder. Het is redelijk gehorig.

Het huisje staat in een tamelijk verlaten dorpje. Het is er stil. De omgeving is mooi.
