This idyllic nature house is located in the Vallee Cère et Dordogne in southern France. It is one of the outbuildings of an original Quercy farmhouse, authentically restored and set in a forest rich environment. On the ground floor there is a cozy kitchenette and a bathroom. The kitchen opens onto a sun terrace facing east and a covered terrace facing west, where the evenings are lovely. You have direct access to the woods and gardens. On the second floor is a spacious living room with a large double bed with a good mattress. There is a cozy sitting area, a table with chairs, a bookcase and an audio system. Steps lead up to the mezzanine, where there are two more fairground beds. Ideal for a couple and possibly two children. The cottage is tastefully decorated and testifies to the artist's hands of the landlords.
Nature and surroundings
This cottage is found at the end of a winding forest road in Occitania France. It is located on a southern mountain tongue with views of forests, meadows and villages. A quiet place par excellence. The landlords spend a lot of time creating and maintaining gardens with flowers, vegetables, statues and ponds that make the immediate area a fairy tale. Nearby is a beautiful landscape with picturesque villages, medieval castles and old Romanesque churches. Worthwhile car, walking and cycling tours (trained cyclists). There are endless opportunities for nature and cultural excursions; swimming, kayaking, climbing and golf, cave visits, weekly and flea markets, sidewalk cafes, museums, traditional village festivals and music festivals. Many of 'Les Plus Beaux Villages de France' are nearby; Rocamadour, Carrenac, Colonge la Rouge, Autoir, Loubressac, etc. The Vallee de la Dordogne is a must, especially where it winds through the Regional Park of Les Causes de Quercy.
