Beautifully located self-sufficient, detached miller's cottage in the middle of the Frisian nature reserve Wynserpolder. A unique place. The nature house is about an eight-minute walk through the meadow (no paved path); ideal for de-stressers, birdwatchers, nature lovers and/or writers. Go "back-to basics" and enjoy the (predatory) birds, deer, hares, cows, storks and swans in the backyard. Fifteen minutes from Leeuwarden. The nature house is ideal for two people, if necessary 1 extra person can come along. Large, wild garden (food forest in the making). A nature reserve in miniature, a haven for dragonflies, birds, bees and insects. Man is a guest there, so don't expect raked paths! The bathroom is separate from the cottage. There you will find the shower and dry toilet. Urine and feces are collected separately. There is sufficient (solar) power for charging devices.
Nature and surroundings
The Wynserpolder is a bird breeding area of the Forestry Commission, where various meadow birds nest in the spring: lapwings, black-tailed godwits and redshanks, but where you will also discover other birds. Storks walk jauntily in the meadows around the cottage, birds of prey like buzzards, kestrels and harriers circle in the area. The cottage is in the middle of this nature reserve.
