Nature house in Monchique

The village of Monchique is 5 minutes away by car and has everything you need - including Portuguese charm. We really liked the surroundings.

Das Dorf Monchique liegt 5 Autominuten entfernt und hat alles was man braucht - auch den portugiesischen Charme. Die Umgebung hat sehr gut gefallen.

The house and property have been designed with great attention to detail and a view of the mountains. It is well equipped with everything you need: from kitchen equipment to light switches and fly screens so that you can ventilate well even in warm August. The countryside is quiet and very green. The owner is very friendly, helpful and radiates the same tranquillity as the place itself. Highly recommended:)

Das Haus und Grundstück wurden mit viel Liebe zum Detail und dem Blick auf das wichtige zum Verweilen in den Bergen gestaltet. Es ist gut ausgestattet mit allem nötigen: von Küchenausstattung über Lichtschalter, über Fliegengitter, damit man auch im warmen August gut lüften kann. Die Natur ist ruhig und sehr grün. Ausflüge in die Berge und auch an das Meer sind von hier super zu unternehmen.

Die Besitzerin ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und strahlt die gleiche Ruhe wie der Ort selbst aus.

Cozy cottage in beautiful, traditional style. Spacious enough for two people and well equipped with all the necessities. Spacious covered terrace with tables, bench, deck chairs, a large, sturdy parasol and surrounded by beautiful flowers and plants (lemon, oleander, hibiscus, figs, all kinds of succulents, roses, ...). In less than an hour you can get from the hills of Monchique to the sea of the south or west coast of the Algarve.

Gezellig huisje in mooie, traditionele stijl. Ruim genoeg voor twee personen en goed uitgerust met alle benodigdheden. Ruim overdekt terras met tafels, zitbank, ligstoelen, een grote, stevige parasol en omgeven door mooie bloemen en planten (citroen, oleander, hibiscus, vijgen, allerlei vetplantjes, rozen, ...). In minder dan een uur ben je vanuit de heuvels van Monchique aan de zee van de zuid- of westkust van de Algarve.

The house is in an idyllic, green setting in a valley full of cork oaks, eucalyptus trees, olive trees and earthen trees. All you hear is the rustling of the wind, birdsong and the occasional rooster. A fox would occasionally come and take a look from a distance at night. At night incredible stars to see. The cottage is close to charming Monchique where you will find plenty of stores and restaurants. You can make beautiful walks and about ten routes in the area are also well marked and documented (PR and GR routes).

Het huis staat in een idyllische, groene omgeving in een vallei vol met kurkeiken, eucalyptusbomen, olijfbomen en aardbijbomen. Je hoort alleen het ruisen van de wind, de vogelzang en af en toe een haan. Een vos kwam 's avonds af en toe op afstand een kijkje nemen. 's nachts ongelooflijk veel sterren te zien. Het huisje ligt dicht bij het charmante Monchique waar je genoeg winkels en restaurants vindt. Je kunt prachtige wandelingen makenen een tiental routes in de omgeving zijn ook goed aangegeven en gedocumenteerd (PR en GR routes).

The cottage is very nice and quiet and private. It is equipped with all amenities. Truly a gem. The bathroom could be made a little more practical. When using the shower, everything is wet and the floor is very slippery. Otherwise a really lovely cottage!

Het huisje ligt heel lekker rustig en privé. Het is van alle gemakken voorzien. Echt een juweeltje. De badkamer zou iets praktischer gemaakt kunnen worden. Bij gebruik van de douche is alles nat en de vloer erg glad. Verder echt een heerlijk huisje!

Unfortunately, nature has been destroyed around the cottage. Not only by fires of 2017, but especially by the construction, everywhere you can look, of eucalyptus, pine or cork oak plantations. The ecostructure has been totally destroyed. There are few birds or mammals to be seen. This is very unfortunate and you do not expect from a mountainous area

Helaas is de natuur verwoest in de omgeving van het huisje. Niet alleen door branden van 2017, maar vooral ook door het, overal waar je maar kan kijken, aanleggen van eucalyptus, dennen of kurkeikenplantages. De ecostruktuur is totaal verwoest. Er zijn weinig vogels of zoogdieren te bekennen. Dat is erg jammer en verwacht je niet van een bergachtig gebied
