This cozy nature house dates from 1713, is very quiet, rural location in the picturesque village of Fraiture (Vielsalm) with just 100 inhabitants. Fraiture is a "closed" farming village, meaning that locals and farmers can pass on the tractor, so "á la campagne". The Gite has 1 private entrance, private in front. On the ground floor there is 1 living space, with completely renovated kitchenette ( November 2024 ) ceramic hob, combi-oven (grill/microwave), fridge + freezer, pans, service, double coffee machine ( Senseo Switch), kitchen linen. In addition to central heating, a wood stove can provide you with extra cozy warmth. Upstairs 1 bedroom, with 2 x 1 pers comfortable box spring beds, equipped with bed linen, adjacent bathroom + bath linen. Rear of Gite, 2 x own private garden with terrace, 1 terrace completely fenced with dog friendly sea gravel + BBQ, other garden + terrace with grass, but is not fenced, here your dog like on a leash.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is centrally located, rural Ardennes, in the beautiful nature reserve of Baraque Fraiture, see photo, second highest peaks of the Ardennes. Directly from the nature house leave beautiful hiking - mountain bike - cycling tours, right through nature, see photo. The routes are already waiting for you in the Gite. Or visit a town or village including La Roche-en-Ardenne, Bastogne, Houffalize, Malmedy. For the summer months, find refreshment in or on the water by nice day kayaking, canoeing, fishing or enjoy along the Ourthe or visit one of the many caves in the Ardennes. During the winter months, with its own ski slope in the village of Fraiture, the ski slope of Baraque de Fraiture, within walking distance. With also departure for day cross-country skiing, equipment can be rented on the slopes themselves. In short, come and discover and experience it all yourself in the beautiful Ardennes!
