Nature house in Saint-Bonnet-Elvert

In southeast Corrèze near Argentat sur Dordogne, this antique nature house is set amidst 20 hectares of forest and hill country. It is completely free. Dutch-speaking help is always available and quickly present. The nature house is carefully restored and comfortable in both summer and winter. The spacious dining kitchen is fully equipped. The beautiful wood stove in the wide fireplace invites you to read. In summer, the kitchen is pleasantly cool. The living room offers a second dining table and sitting area. The upper floor has three bedrooms for two persons each. Also a spacious covered balcony with sublime views. Sunbathing is available on the lawn and garden terrace. The apple tree provides shade for summer meals. Garden furniture is available. The farmhouse has two bathrooms (two showers, one bath) and two toilets. There is also a telephone, radio and gramophone with LPs, but deliberately no TV. The former barn houses a craft table/office and additional sleeping areas. There are bicycles and garden tools in the basement.

The nature house is extremely quiet in the middle of the forest, 200 meters from a small country road. If you drive one turn further or take a short walk, you are already in a small hamlet. Those who seek silence, want to enjoy nature, want to be together undisturbed with loved ones, friends or family or just want to withdraw from the hurried world, will find their balance in this nature house. From the shelter of pines, chestnuts and walnuts, the magnificent view unfolds to the south. There lie the towns of Argentat, Beaulieu, Collonges-la-rouge and the Dordogne Valley where you can canoe, hang glide or visit castles and caves. The area is good for cycling/mountain biking. Those looking for a quiet route can cycle along the Dordogne River. There are numerous swimming lakes nearby and many hiking trails. Beautiful natural areas in the Lot, Dordogne, Auvergne and Limousin are an hour away by car. House and surroundings invite you to paint. A course is available on request.
