Bird watching in the Alentejo? You will stay in the cottage at Monte Horizonte which occupies a 20-hectare site and where 100% of the energy supply comes from solar and wind power. You have the possibility to make several excursions with an experienced bird guide or you can book a complete birding trip. More information on this under Nature description. Monte Horizonte is registered with Turismo de Portugal under number 5,122 and has all permits. The vacation home consists of a living room, a bedroom, an open kitchen with various equipment, including a gas hob and refrigerator. The bathroom consists of a toilet, sink, bidet and shower. There is a TV with satellite connection, which receives various foreign stations. In the bedroom there is a double bed with bed linen. Bed linen is changed once a week, towels twice a week.
Nature and surroundings
Our Birding Trip has a supplement of 295 Euros and can be booked as "Other". A number of days you will trek by yourself, with a detailed route and location description in hand. One half day ( 4 hours ) you will go out with the Dutch host (bird guide) in his all-terrain vehicle. There is also the possibility to book half-day and full-day excursions separately. You will stay in a cottage on our 20-acre property and where 100% of the energy supply comes from solar and wind power. Around your cottage there is also plenty to do with birds.
