The Vennhaus is an authentic farm dating from 1872. It is in the Hoge Venen in the eastern provinces of Belgium. It is a superb area for walkers & cross-country skiers. The house has 33 sleepingplaces The large south-facing terrace is 18m x 8m. It enjoys a unique, tranquil view of the Warchenne valley. At night it is ideal for star gazing. The 12m x 5m living area is perfect for long relaxed evenings sitting around the table and enjoying the open fire. Theres a separate corner of 8m x 4m which children will enjoy. Fort Robertville and its lake are within 10 km. The Warche, the Hoge Venen walking area, the cross-country skiing area and the Ovifat ski-run are not far. The regional capital of Eupen with its beautiful natural stone houses and attractive squares is within easy reach. The charming town of Malmedy with its carnival is well worth a visit. You can enjoy rail-biking on an old disused railway track through the Venen. Lake Robertville and Lake Butgenbach are excellent for swimming, sailing and surfing. The town of Monschau, with its narrow streets, is just over the German border. You can enjoy its half-timbered houses, pavement cafes and medieval fort. The famous Eifel ski-area is very near.
