Switzerland is a country located on the territory of Europe, and it is so versatile that it is really hard for you not to enjoy your stay. The country is famous for a variety of things such as skiing, mighty mountains and chocolate, to name a few. Swiss nature

One of the very first stops on your agenda should undoubtedly be the Swiss National Park. The park is quite old, as it dates back from the year 1914, and it is a must visit for the hiking lovers. Apart from the astonishing mountainous views, there is so much more you can experience here. For instance, some very special animals call this place home – such as brown bears and golden eagles. All in all, those who desire to see nature at its best are going to love their visit to the park. However, you have to be prepared to follow some strict rules with respect to nature conservation – a small price to pay for all of the beauty around.

There are other natural jewels which also deserve your attention – for example, you can stop by and enjoy one (or several) of the beautiful Swiss lakes. Our recommendation would be Lake Thun – a picturesque lake surrounded by majestic mountainous peaks. Once you stand in front of this stunning lake, it is really hard to believe that it is actually real – you can easily be tricked into believing that it is painted by some very talented artist. And in case you cannot get enough of the lake, there is a second one nearby – just as amazing as this one – the Lake Brienz.

The fun never stops

If you get to visit Switzerland during the winter, you can enjoy some skiing – a sport which attracts a number of tourists to the country. This is understandable – there are some once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for the passionate skier! You will be spoilt for choice when ski resorts are concerned, but one of our favourite ones is St. Moritz. Diving is another way for you to have some exercise, although winter is probably not the best time to explore the underwater world. However, the diving aficionados should keep in mind that they can enjoy their favourite pastime in Switzerland.
