Natural wonders to discover
The Italian region of Tuscany has remarkable natural wonders for you to discover and staying at a glamping is the best way to do it. Tuscany is filled with protected areas and parks, but if we had to choose one, we would probably go to the Val d’Orcia. This is a valley with magnificent historical and cultural significance for Italy. Walking and enjoying nature is something even locals love doing here, the whole atmosphere of this place is sublime. On your trip here expect to meet and fall in love with the friendly local population (mainly seniors). You will have a chance to see many medieval castles and ancient villages, farmhouses and homesteads far from any modern-day world problems. There are hundreds of wineries and vineyards here, so make sure to try the wine, it is out of this world!
The Netherlands also don’t lack in terms of nature too and the province of Friesland is among our favorite glamping spots! The Schiermonnikoog National Park is an amazing place for nature enthusiasts and one of the most visited national parks in the Netherlands. Schiermonnikoog was the first Dutch national park and incorporates the 14 West Frisian Islands in the North Sea, as well the Wadden Sea – a UNESCO recognized intertidal zone with huge ecological significance. There is only one inhabited town on one of all the islands and it bears the same very hard to pronounce name. The town is car-free and you can explore it by foot or by bike for a daily dose of weekend exercise.
Activities
Another area in Friesland, which is great for walking and cycling is the Drents-Friese Wold – a vast network of more than 50 km of bike trails and 130 km of walking paths welcome you and take you on a beautiful adventure through forests, fans and sand-drifts.
In Denmark (another popular glamping destination) the island of Mon is loved by adrenaline-seeking individuals.
