Welcome to Alynes, our private glass villa built in 2020 on a 3,500 m2 estate in the mountains of Geres. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring the landscape inside: once in the house, you feel like you are outdoors. The bright living room has a suspended fireplace, perfect for cosy winter evenings. The villa has 3 private suites, each with a double bed, its own balcony with a view over the valley and the lake, a private shower room with WC and its own dressing (3.5 bathrooms in total). Two kitchens: a fully equipped indoor kitchen and a summer kitchen by the pool. Outside, enjoy the saltwater infinity pool facing the lake (heated to 24.5 degrees from May to September, 28 to 29 degrees as an extra option from 15 May to 15 September), a 6-seat outdoor jacuzzi and a panoramic sauna. Nature and surroundings
Alynes sits above Lake Canicada in Ventosa, at the gates of Peneda-Geres, the only national park in Portugal. The estate is surrounded by gardens and forest with protected trees, and the view over the lake and the mountains is breathtaking at sunrise and sunset. The lake shore is about 8 minutes on foot: swimming, boat trips, kayak and paddle board. In the national park you will find waterfalls, natural pools, granite trails and timeless villages. The Termas do Geres thermal baths and the sanctuary of Sao Bento da Porta Aberta are close by. Shops, restaurants and cafes are in nearby Rio Caldo, and the city of Braga is less than an hour away. Porto airport is about one hour by car. Taste the local vinho verde and the traditional food of the Minho region. In winter, the mountains are often covered in mist and sometimes snow: the perfect time to enjoy the fire, the sauna and the jacuzzi. The house is quiet, private and peaceful, and yet only minutes from everything.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
