A cozy, renovated Swedish cottage built in 1948 near Hagfors (Höje), in the heart of Värmland. Wood stove, red wooden floors, and forests all around: ideal for families and anyone seeking peace and quiet in the Swedish countryside. The cottage is over 90 m² and sleeps 4 people (plus a baby). The cozy living room features a wood stove and a 55" Smart TV for TV shows and movies. Thanks to geothermal heating, it’s always comfortably warm. The fully equipped kitchen includes an oven, coffee maker, and electric kettle. The bathroom, with a tub, toilet, and sink, is located on the first floor. Sleeping arrangements: The master bedroom, with dark green walls, features a 180 cm wide bed with comfortable mattresses and two types of pillows for a good night’s sleep. The second bedroom has a bunk bed (top: 80 cm, bottom: 120 cm) for the kids. Outdoors: a private lot of 1,847 m² with a BBQ, wooden patio set, trampoline, swings, slide, and sandbox. Children can play freely here for hours. Outdoor toys are available in the cottage. A crib, high chair, and baby bathtub are available.
Nature and surroundings
The house is located in Värmland, one of Sweden’s greenest and most peaceful regions: more than two-thirds of it is covered by forest, and there are thousands of lakes. The house is right next to the forest, where you can easily wander in to look for berries, mushrooms, or animal tracks. In the fall, roe deer roam through the garden every evening, and you can sometimes spot moose in the wild nearby. Want to be sure to see them? Then go on a moose safari. There are many hiking trails, and most lakes have spots for swimming, fishing, and/or a fire pit to grill a sausage (very Swedish!). Nearest lakes: Lakenesjön (10 min), Råda Sjön, and Stor-en (15 min). Golf course 15 min away; water park in Sunne 40 min away. In winter, it’s wonderfully quiet, and there’s usually snow in January and February—perfect for downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, sledding, or ice skating. Munkfors (supermarket) is a 15-minute drive away, and Hagfors (supermarket and swimming pool) is 20 minutes away.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
A deposit of €250.00 applies. You will be refunded after check-out.
