The vacation home is located in a nature reserve east of the historic town of Bad Berleburg. The vacation home was traditionally used as a small-scale farm. There’s plenty to do in the vicinity of the vacation home. A visit to the historic town of Bad Berleburg and its castle is well worth your time. In addition, the Wisent Welt Wittgenstein is worth a visit (where you can see bison in their natural habitat). In the village of Lützel, you’ll also find Burg Ginsburg, which has an interesting Dutch history. The winter sports resort of Winterberg is about a 30-minute drive away. Furthermore, the vast natural surroundings offer numerous opportunities for mountain biking, swimming, and, of course, hiking. The house is divided into two halves. The left half is rented to a very friendly retired couple. They are true nature lovers, are quiet, and respect the privacy of our guests.
Nature and surroundings
The vacation home is idyllically situated in the heart of nature, surrounded by a varied landscape of forests and meadows. The area is characterized by the peaks of the Grosse Helle (676 m) and Grosse Bubenbracht (640 m) mountains. The area is an excellent starting point for long hikes in the Roodhaar Mountains nature reserve. The house offers a beautiful, sweeping view of the surrounding mountains and forests in the background. On the west and north sides, the house borders the edge of a vast forest and nature reserve. On the east and south sides, you look out over adjacent meadows and the forest and nature reserve behind. A narrow access road runs in front of the house and serves as the access road for a few nearby farms (it is not a through road). Several hiking trails start from the house. The vacation home offers plenty of privacy thanks to its idyllic, secluded location with no other houses in the immediate vicinity (the nearest houses are about 600 meters away).
