A former pumping station (a municipal landmark) was converted into a unique vacation home in 2016. It is located along the Vlaardingsevaart, separated from it by a walking and biking path. The nature house is situated in the heart of the Zouteveense polder, surrounded by beautiful towns and villages. The former pump is an integral part of the industrial, modern interior. Accommodating up to four people, you can enjoy waterfowl and meadow birds and fantastic sunrises and sunsets. The nature house features an open kitchen with all amenities (induction cooktop, combination microwave, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, Quooker, and a Nespresso coffee machine). The ground floor has underfloor heating and a cozy pellet stove. There is a sunny terrace at the front. Canoes are available free of charge, and you can rent an electric rowboat or a SUP board to explore the water-rich area. Bedding, bath towels, and kitchen linens are provided.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located in the middle of a green peat meadow area, with charming villages like Schipluiden, Maasland, and ’t Woudt nearby, where you’ll also find great restaurants, local shops, and small museums. On the horizon lie cities such as The Hague, Rotterdam, Delft, Vlaardingen, and Maassluis, so if you want to spend a day shopping or going to the movies, that’s also an option. Would you rather explore the green heart of Midden-Delfland? You can do so very easily by bike or on foot. The green surroundings include authentic farms, protected village landscapes, and stunning polders. This area is truly special not only in the summer, but also in the winter and fall. Every season has its own beauty. Want to get some fresh air at the beach? That’s also entirely possible, and it’s about 22 km from the nature house.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
A deposit of €50.00 applies. You will be refunded after check-out.

- Minimum age of main booker: 21 years.

- No parties or events are allowed.
