A smultronställe: your secret favorite spot, a place where you’re completely happy and that you’d rather keep to yourself. I’d love to share my smultronställe with you. The cottage is located in Gunnarskog, surrounded by the natural beauty of Värmland, 3 kilometers from the Norwegian border. It’s truly quiet here. On an average day, 4 to 6 cars pass along the gravel road (grusväg) in front of the house. No traffic, no hustle and bustle—just space, woods, and water. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. From the garden, you can walk straight into the woods. The water is 350 meters away. There are several hiking trails in the area.
Nature and surroundings
Just 350 meters from the cottage, you’ll find a body of water where you can swim and fish. A fishing permit is available from the neighbors, two houses down. Right behind the house, a hiking trail begins that leads toward Mitanderfors. In the winter, this trail becomes a cross-country skiing route. Hiking literally starts right at your front door. I live in the main house, just 25 meters away. It’s close by if you need anything, but thanks to the cottage’s location, you’ll have complete privacy. There are a few houses across the road, only two of which are permanently occupied. The nearest supermarket and gas station are a 30-minute drive away, and there’s also a large shopping center there. Handy tip: if you do your grocery shopping on the way here, you can enjoy your purchases right away upon arrival.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
- Out of respect for nature: silence between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
- Minimum age of main booker: 18 years.
- Smoking is not allowed in this nature house.
- No fireworks are allowed at this Nature House.
- No parties or events are allowed.
- This nature house is not suitable for groups of young people, students and sports teams.
- Waste separation is mandatory in this nature house.
