The detached home is situated in a green, peaceful setting surrounded by nature, and there is a natural pond in the immediate vicinity. The solid log walls are made of red cedar. This type of wood naturally emits a pleasant, distinctive woody scent that contributes to the home’s unique atmosphere. Combined with the authentic Canadian architectural style, this creates a warm and inviting feel. After a day of hiking or biking, you can relax on the large veranda or in the infrared sauna.
Nature and surroundings
Maple Leaf Lodge is nestled in the countryside, next to a large natural pond and just 100 meters from the Zandstuve Forest. From the lodge, you can walk or bike right into nature. The charming village of Den Ham is nearby and gained additional fame as the filming location for the TV series *Woeste Grond*. Between Den Ham and Ommen lies the expansive Eerde Estate, featuring beautiful forests, old tree-lined avenues, heathlands, the Regge River, and Eerde Castle. The Lemelerberg and the Holterberg are also beautiful destinations for a hike or bike ride, featuring forests, heathland, varying elevations, and stunning views. You’ll find a completely different landscape in the Engbertsdijksvenen: a unique and vast raised bog area where you can fully experience peace, space, and extraordinary nature.

After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:

• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
A deposit of €250.00 applies. You will be refunded after check-out.
