Stay overnight on the edge of the Drents Friese Wold forest. On the ground floor of our lodging is the kitchen, equipped with all the necessary appliances, including a combination microwave, refrigerator, and cooking facilities. Next to the kitchen is the bathroom with a shower and toilet. On the first floor, there is a spacious bedroom with a double bed and a separate room with a toilet and sink. The bedroom is equipped with air conditioning. The separate living room, featuring French doors and a French balcony, overlooks the fields and the forest. In consultation with the hostess, it’s possible to stay with us with your horse. We have stables and paddocks available for horses, and access to pasture is available by arrangement. From the stable, you can ride your horse straight into the woods.
Nature and surroundings
Our apartment is located on the edge of the forest. You’ll enjoy a peaceful stay, surrounded by nature. Bed & Drenthe is located on the edge of the Drents Friese Wold National Park. In this unique area—comprising stream valleys, ponds, deciduous and coniferous forests, heathlands, and shifting sands—the goal is to preserve a rich diversity of nature. The forest is accessible from our property via a private path and offers plenty of opportunities for biking, hiking, and horseback riding. About 4 km from our place, you’ll find a large swimming lake and the charming village squares of Diever and Dwingeloo, where you can enjoy a delicious snack or drink on a patio. There’s also plenty to do culturally in our area, including various museums and the Shakespeare Theater.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
- Out of respect for nature: silence between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
- Minimum age of main booker: 25 years.
- Smoking is not allowed in this nature house.
- No fireworks are allowed at this Nature House.
- No parties or events are allowed.
- This nature house is not suitable for groups of young people, students and sports teams.
- Waste separation is mandatory in this nature house.
