Nature house in Holten

Overijssel, Netherlands

Detached | Isolated | Cottage
  • 4 persons
  • 3 bedrooms
  • WiFi
  • Pets not allowed

A break from it all. Time for each other. Time to do nothing at all. Welcome to our nature house: a colorful, luxurious vacation home in the heart of the Holten forest, where nature literally begins right at your doorstep. A place to relax and make new memories together. This nature house is cozy and fully furnished for four people, with two bedrooms and a bathroom. The colorful decor, warm materials, and large windows instantly make you feel at home, with the forest as your backdrop. You’ll notice there’s no TV here—by design. Here, you don’t watch TV; you watch the forest. Everything is taken care of for a carefree stay: the beds are made, towels are provided, and the kitchen is fully equipped. All you need to bring are your personal belongings. We renovated and furnished it ourselves in 2026, because everyone needs a place now and then to escape the hustle and bustle and their obligations—a place to get back to basics, be together, and make memories.

Nature and surroundings

It’s nestled in the heart of nature, close to the Sallandse Heuvelrug, where you can enjoy wonderful walks and bike rides. Several hiking and biking trails run right past our nature house. After a day of adventure, the hot tub awaits. Step into the warm water and feel the stress melt away. The firewood is already waiting for you. On the spacious terrace, you can enjoy meals together, relax, and spend long evenings. The nature house is situated on a large private lot, not in a vacation park. You’ll hear birds, see squirrels, and feel as though you’re in your own little forest paradise. Would you rather enjoy the bustle of the city? The Hanseatic city of Deventer is about a twenty-minute drive away. Ready to take a break, make memories, and spend quality time together? Then book your stay with us.

What a wonderful midweek getaway we had here. We were looking for a place to get away for a bit with our 5-week-old daughter, and this was the perfect spot. The cottage has such a cozy atmosphere that it already feels like a vacation just being here. Sitting together on the couch watching the squirrels in the garden or playing a game in the cozy dining area. We’d definitely love to come back!

    Nature, peace & environment: 5 /5

The cottage is nestled among the trees, giving you the feeling that you're deep in the woods. It's the perfect place to unwind.
