A small wooden house of 40m² with a 80m² wooden terrace, set on a hillside at the edge of the forest, in a secluded and peaceful location, on a 10ha estate with a swimming pool. Depending on the dates, you will share the swimming pool with the guests staying in our stone cottage (a couple, either on their own or with children) and us (one or two people). Certain time slots are reserved for our guests. The wooden house is equipped for a comfortable stay: a small fitted kitchen, a bathroom with dry toilets both inside and outside, a wood-burning stove, air conditioning and additional electric radiators. It is set back from the main house and opposite the holiday cottage. It is well insulated and, with moderate use of the air conditioning in summer, the temperatures are the same as in our traditional stone house. It is a bright and very pleasant place to spend time in any season. As night falls, from spring to autumn, you can spot deer emerging from the forest.
Nature and surroundings
You’ll enjoy the peace and space offered by the 10 hectares. You’ll benefit from the proximity and comfort of the swimming pool, whilst also enjoying the relative seclusion of the cabin, which is set slightly apart and nestled against the forest. You can reach the cabin on foot or by car. If you’re walking, park in the car park shared with the gîte guests, then walk past the vegetable garden, the orchard, the henhouse and the swimming pool. If you don’t plan to go out much, you can park your car in the shade behind the cabin. The village lies 3 km down the hill in a pretty valley. There is a small grocery shop there selling bread and pastries. The nearest town, with its shops and bakeries, is 9 km away. The property is situated in the heart of the Dordogne department, 20 km from Périgueux and 30 km from Bergerac, and a 10mn drive from the motorway leading to Bordeaux Airport. It is an hour’s drive from the most popular touristic attractions in the Périgord Noir (castels and caves).

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
- Out of respect for nature: silence between 10:30 PM and 8:00 AM.
- Minimum age of main booker: 18 years.
