Welcome to the “De Ijsvogel” glamping tent in the Lansing Nature Reserve, located in the Green Heart between Reeuwijk and Boskoop. This off-grid glamping tent lives up to its name—it’s situated right along the flight path of the kingfishers that have built their nests in the adjacent ditch. You’re sure to hear them from the tent’s terrace, and if you pay close attention, you might even spot them. The tent features a comfortable double bed, made up and ready for you, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen with a gas-powered cooler, and a covered terrace with a table and chairs. The island is accessible only by boat and is completely surrounded by water. It’s a unique spot for birdwatchers and anglers. Here, you can truly experience the great outdoors, as you’re in constant contact with the nature around you all day long. Wake up to the chirping of birds and the quacking of ducks and geese. And fall asleep to the croaking of frogs—a beautiful sound. Wake up with a cup of coffee or tea on the terrace and watch as nature awakens.
Nature and surroundings
De Lansing Nature Reserve is a private nature reserve that was developed entirely by Mr. Jan van Leeuwen. It was formerly a tree nursery, and over the past 30 years, he has transformed it into a 6-hectare area featuring plenty of water and recreational islands. We rent out the islands with log cabins on an annual basis. The glamping tents are available only for short stays. Off-grid recreation on islands accessible only by boat. Nature comes first here, and as a visitor, you’re our guest. We, Marcel and Miranda, are now taking over management of this area, and with the glamping tents, we’re also offering options for short stays. It’s incredibly fun because everyone is wildly enthusiastic about our beautiful area. A unique piece of nature where you can also stay in a beautiful glamping tent equipped with all the comforts. A campfire in the fire pit, a barbecue, or some simple cooking—it’s all possible, but above all, come to enjoy the peace and quiet of this unique spot.

If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount. After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:

• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refunded
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refunded
• on the day of arrival or later: no refund
- Out of respect for nature: silence between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
- Minimum age of main booker: 22 years.
- Smoking is not allowed in this nature house.
- No fireworks are allowed at this Nature House.
- No parties or events are allowed.
- This nature house is not suitable for groups of young people, students and sports teams.
- Waste separation is mandatory in this nature house.
