At our flower-picking field, you’ll stay in Grace and Lily, two lovingly restored vintage caravans from the ’60s and ’70s. Retro floral wallpaper, lace curtains, and a checkered floor take you back in time, but with all the comforts of today: a cozy double bed with linens and towels, a Nespresso machine, and unlimited Wi-Fi. You’ll shower outdoors under the trees using eco-friendly products and use the charming wooden composting toilet—glamping as it should be. At the Veldbar, our honesty bar, take what you want and pay on trust. In the morning, a breakfast basket can be delivered to your caravan (€20 per person), and in the evening, you can cook outside on the Ofyr fire pit. You can book one caravan (2 people) or both (up to 4 people).
Nature and surroundings
The caravans are parked on our flower-picking field in Knesselare, among the flowers, the globe thistles, and the beehives. During the day, the bees buzz and the butterflies flutter; in the evening, the sky turns orange over the fields, and on clear nights, you can see an impressive starry sky. The field is located along the Ghent–Bruges Canal and the F6 bike highway: hop on your bike and you’ll be in Bruges or Ghent in no time, or follow the peaceful towpaths along the water. Hikers will also find plenty to enjoy here, with the Drongengoed Forest and the rural Meetjesland just a stone’s throw away. Nearby, you’ll find farm shops with local products, cozy summer bars, and great places to eat. Peace, greenery, and waking up among the flowers in the morning: that’s what staying at the flower-picking field is all about.
