The Green Cabin is a minimalist tiny house set on 8.5 hectares of spruce forest and open pasture at 1,000m altitude, right at the gateway to Călimani National Park in the north of Romania. The cabin sleeps up to 2 adults and 2 children or 3 adults and is fully private, with a king size bed in the loft, a fully equipped kitchen, a private bathroom with a shower, and a deep green sofa bed. In front of the cabin, a table and chairs invite you to take your morning coffee outdoors. Electric bikes are available to hire, and we offer guided hikes, carefree days spent in a hammock, and campfire evenings under the stars. We are a social enterprise and part of every stay supports our programme connecting children from vulnerable backgrounds with the natural world.
Nature and surroundings
WildKind sits in the village of Sărișor, in the heart of Țara Dornelor, one of Romania's most unspoilt mountain regions. We have 2 tiny houses available to guests, each with outdoor table and chairs. The grounds include a spruce forest, a small pond with dragonflies, four hammocks and a campfire area. The surrounding landscape is rich in alpine flora: rhododendron, bilberry, dwarf pine and Arnica Montana. Nearby highlights include the old Sulphur Quarry volcanic crater and the Twelve Apostles nature reserve, both reachable on foot or by bike. Vatra Dornei, with small shops, restaurants and a train station, is just 15km away. We can arrange pickup from the train station or from the airports in Suceava, Iasi or Cluj on request.
