We’d love to share our little piece of land with nature lovers, so my husband recently built a stylish cabin. It’s located at the back of our property with plenty of privacy, and features a small vegetable garden for fresh produce, and a space for cooking and barbecuing in our yard. The cabin is just big enough to sleep and relax in, have a cup of coffee on the patio, and store your belongings. In our garden, you can read a book or just daydream in the hammock or under the tarp. There are two cabins (each for two people) side by side, but positioned so you can’t see into each other’s cabins. This means a family of four can also stay here. The cabin is equipped with a comfortable bed, bedding, electricity, a small coffee maker, and a terrace. The front features large glass French doors that also serve as a windbreak. In our cabin, you can enjoy luxury camping close to nature. There is an indoor and outdoor shower, including towels. Please note: The other cabin has a separate listing.
Nature and surroundings
Our place is located on the outskirts of Oploo, on the border between Brabant and Limburg. From our property, you can easily bike or walk toward the Peel, one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the Netherlands. The combination of small-scale farmland, ancient forests, and vast natural landscapes makes this area unique. Along the way, you’ll discover winding country roads, small villages, farm shops, and welcoming outdoor cafes. Whether you’re here to get out and explore or simply to do absolutely nothing, you’ll find plenty of space here. Right on our street, a herd of Lakenvelder cows (an ancient, rare breed) grazes, and when you stop by our neighbors’ place to pick up eggs or an ice cream from the farm vending machine, you’ll also get to admire some donkeys. And speaking of animals: on our property, Boreas the dog and Barrie the cat roam freely. Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement.
