Nature house in Schmatzin

Our "LandGenuss" vacation rental is 70 square meters and sleeps four people. It is part of our historic "Ostsee-Kate," which features four comfortable vacation rentals. You’ll find a living/dining room with satellite TV and a stereo system, two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a charming bathroom with a shower and toilet. Beautiful old details have been preserved (such as the tiled stove and interior doors), but everything has been completely renovated and offers appealing living comfort with modern amenities. You can use a shared utility room with a washer and dryer. The apartment has its own terrace. The romantic, large orchard with a shared gazebo and barbecue facilities rounds out this very special vacation experience. The German Tourism Association has awarded “LandGenuss” four stars.

Our historic "Ostsee-Kate" is located on a 3,300-square-meter property in the quiet village of Schmatzin, with a population of 100 and no through traffic. In ten minutes, you’ll be at the Peene River, the “Amazon of the North.” By canoe, boat, or on a guided river tour, you can experience a breathtaking river landscape. In addition, you can hike and bike in the surrounding area as far as you like. From Schmatzin, you can reach the beach and the island of Usedom in half an hour, and the island of Rügen in three-quarters of an hour (also accessible by train and bike!). The Hanseatic cities of Greifswald and Anklam are very close by; Stralsund and the Szczecin Lagoon are about three-quarters of an hour away, and Rostock is just over an hour away. Whether it’s nature, culture, or cuisine: in Schmatzin, you have it all right on your doorstep, and after an eventful day, you can retreat to our oasis of tranquility.
