Nature house in Melick

It’s a lovely cottage, in a secluded location, and you can head out in any direction for a walk right from the cottage. Great for walking the dog!
The cottage was wonderfully clean and (for us) equipped with all the necessary amenities. (No Wi-Fi, but that’s actually kind of nice (-;) The kitchen was well-equipped. The bedrooms were spacious and had comfortable beds. (It was wonderful that they were made up upon arrival.) Having two bathrooms is convenient. And the living area was comfortable.

The cottage is located close to a road with quite a bit of traffic. Inside, you’re not bothered by the noise.
It’s nice to sit outside, but the weather wasn’t really suitable for that this time.

Communication with the host was very pleasant—polite and professional.

And… upon arrival, a delicious Limburg flan was waiting for me, so I got off to a great start on my birthday weekend back in my hometown! What a thoughtful welcome!

Het is een fijn huisje, vrij gelegen, en je kunt zo vanuit het huisje alle kanten op om te wandelen. Handig met de hond!
Het huisje was heerlijk schoon en (voor ons) van alle benodigde gemakken voorzien. (Geen Wifi, maar dat is wel even lekker (-;) De keuken was goed uitgerust. De slaapkamers ruim en met fijne bedden. (Heerlijk dat deze opgemaakt zijn bij aankomst.) Twee badkamers is handig. En de leefruimte was comfortabel.

Het huisje ligt dicht aan een weg, waar aardig wat auto's langs komen. Binnen heb je geen last van het geluid.
Buiten is het leuk zitten, maar daar waren de weersomstandigheden nu niet naar.

Het contact met de host was erg plezierig. Netjes en correct.

En... bij aankomst stond er een heerlijke Limburgse vlaai te wachten, zodat ik mijn verjaardagsweekend op mijn geboortegrond goed begon! Wat een attent welkom!

Dank aan de verhuurders! We komen graag nog eens terug!

You can head into the village of Melick, and the surrounding area is green and peaceful. It’s wonderful for biking (we’d love to come back just for that) and hiking.

Het is een fijn huisje, vrij gelegen, veel privacy, en je kunt zo vanuit het huisje alle kanten op om te wandelen. Handig met de hond! Je kunt het dorp Melick in, en de verdere omgeving is groen en rustig. Heerlijk om te fietsen (daar komen we graag een keertje voor terug) en wandelen.

A super-clean cottage with everything you need. It’s great that there are two bathrooms.
You can head straight into nature from the house. For longer nature walks, you’ll have to go a little further, but it’s just a short walk away.
The cottage is just a stone’s throw from the village of Melick, which has a good supermarket and bakery.
One minor drawback: the cottage is located on the main road leading to the village. There isn’t a ton of traffic, but it’s definitely noticeable during the day. At night, it’s pretty quiet.

Superschoon huisje, met alles wat je nodig hebt is er. Heel fijn dat er twee badkamers zijn.
Je kunt direct vanuit het huis de natuur in. Voor langere natuurwandelingen, moet je iets verder weg, maar daar ben je ook zo.
Het huis je ligt op een steenworp van het dorp Melick, dat een goede supermarkt en bakker heeft.
Klein nadeel: huisje ligt aan de doorgaande weg naar het dorp. Niet superveel verkeer, maar overdag wel duidelijk aanwezig. 's Nachts is het behoorlijk stil.

We really loved the house in Melick—it had plenty of space, and we were warmly welcomed with delicious cookies.
It was also very clean, and everything we needed was more than adequately provided. The outdoor area was a great place to relax, especially with the various seating areas available. We definitely recommend it—we stayed for a week.

Het huis in Melick was voor ons ontzettend fijn veel ruimte en een leuk ontvangst met lekkere koekjes.
Ook was het erg schoon en alles ruimschoots aanwezig. Ook buiten was het goed toeven zeker door de verschillende zitjes die er zijn. Zeker een aanrader wij zijn een week geweest.
